Hooded Bacon Face…?
I’m not really sure what to do with this digital drawing tablet. I’m still running some tests, but it’s been difficult to incorporate it into my drawing process. I’m used to drawing with my nose practically pressed to paper, super up-close… but with this digital tablet, you’re forced to stare into the monitor. It’s very strange, but I’m hoping the more silly Bacon Face type drawings I do, the closer I’ll get to figuring this thing out..!
I spent a few hours on the original, coloring in all the little bits. So naturally as I finish, I accidentally click on the whole and turn it yellow… and love it way more.

I started reading H.P. Lovecraft’s complete short fiction, and though I’m only on the SECOND story… I already love him, his style, and the imagery he forces me dream up. I thought I might as well test out my new drawing tablet illustrating the first part of his story, “Dagon” (click for pdf).
I kind of got used to the drawing part, but I’m still working on how to use color…
I know! But they’re kind of fun to make, so whatever.
I had this crazy nightmare while napping yesterday. All I remember was Vera Wang was wearing a girlie hoodie, in my basement, trapping and killing people. When I woke up my heart was really pumping and I was so confused. Vera Wang?
Anyway, I tried channeling a bit of the imagery when drawing a self-portrait this morning.
